Quadroon glasses? Were may I partake in such a most invaluable aid and tool for purchase?

It's a Nazi slogan similar to "Heil Hitler"/88 and "the 14 words".

Heard this film is bascially a bad English version of "American History X".

They're hard to come by; half the price of Mulatto glasses.

Not really..Had my issues with "American History X", but "This Is England" was quite good.  I liked the fact that most of the young people in the film were not trained actors, and racism isn't the central theme of the movie.

This is a bit off-topic, sorry.

I devoured Enid Blyton books as a child, from the Mallory Towers and St Clair books to the Magic Faraway Tree books.  Of course I had no idea at the time how 'racist' some of the writing was - I was only little.

When I bought some of her fairy tales from a second-hand book store (for my little boys) and re-read them I was so shocked.  And sad.

When I was small  I had no idea that golliwogs were meant to be black minstrels - not at all.  I thought they were just a strange and loveable black fabric toy.  People older than me love their Gollies because to them it is like loving your first toy, your blankie, your teddie bear, your binkie.

But now, my greater knowledge means that the golliwog part of my childhood is ruined.

Back to the topic - the film was hailed by all the middle-class liberals (which to me meant it had to be offensive and rubbish!)  I should watch it really - but having been chased and spat at by skin heads - I am less than keen on wasting two hours watching some daft misguided-liberal's film.!!
